Celebrating 46 years in ministry

This year… look to sing your song in the night and if He sings over you…

then sing together in intimacy.

Look for the lyric in the midst of all the noise.

Look for your harmony as you sing with grace in His heart’s melody.

If you worship… He will come… He “inhabits” the praise of His people.

GIVE US THIS DAY – OUR DAILY BREAD:

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts musters the host of the battle.”

Isaiah 13:4

This is a hard word today… a hard truth. If you want milk… this meat may be too much. But… perhaps I should speak even as the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians: I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.”  And then goes on to say in verses 18-21 of I Corinthians 3:

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;”

There are some places we should not go. There are some people we should not associate with and the bottom line for both are the divine providence of God. Have you followed divine providence? Are you listening?

People may give us much advice as to our calendar appointments and who we need to touch base with, but God sometimes has a plan and a reason that we can’t understand with human reasoning. And… we don’t always understand the motives of the heart.

We have been talking about the transfiguration. In the chronological dates of scripture, it was about a month before Jesus refused to go “into Jewry.”  A place in Jerusalem.

I want to cite John 7 which was the first part of October in that year. (The Reese Chronological Bible)

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.  (There are places I will not go and people I will not see because of their hatred and malice and again – to hate is to be equated with a murderer. John 3:15 “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer:” I will not subject myself to the scrutiny of those who wish to criticize or throw mouth rocks to injure and to kill. Oh… but Mark… you are a preacher. Oh but dear reader… HE was the savior. And it wasn’t the only time. When he was called to go to the bedside of a sick friend… he did not go. When his mother was worried about him and wanted him to come away from the fray, Jesus said in Matthew 12:48-50 “But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Let it be known, I will never be guilted into going somewhere I am not welcome or where it is to do harm. And what did Jesus initially tell his disciples when they wanted to honor their Father at his funeral? Matthew 9:60 “Let the dead bury their dead.”)

(John 7:2-3) Now the Jew’s feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. (OK. I could preach on this verse alone for hours… but I won’t. But it was the people closest to him who tried to dictate his path, his calendar and a logical reason for it. A command to the Son of God… hmmm. Interesting. They probably said he wouldn’t go because of fear or pride… or tried guilting him. It didn’t work. He wouldn’t go.)

For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.

For neither did his brethren believe in him. (This is a harsh but true reality. They started to believe the rabble and the human voices. This is stark because just a month before, on the Mount of Transfiguration, Peter, John and James all heard the voice of the Father say, Matthew 17:5 – “While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. HEAR. YE. HIM. Notice it didn’t say… “listen to your own hearts or listen to what the people are saying or listen to a voice of logic.” This was the Son of God. But even after what they heard… they did not believe in him. And when someone doesn’t believe what you say, you can handle that… but when they no longer believe in you – that breaks a heart.)

6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. (Or simply stated, Jesus points out that any time is right for the world, but his own timing requires divine purpose. And… if you are a son or daughter of God – then – you too require divine purpose for all your engagements.

7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.

When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.

Jesus was given to prayer. Given to the mind of the Spirit. Given to the heart and directives of His Father. What I love is that those who were close to Him couldn’t VETO his decision. Let every direction. Every choice. Every engagement – be divinely inspired. Don’t even trust your own heart (Jeremiah 17:9 – The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?) or sentiment or obligation or human reason and logic.

Here’s a word from the Father that you can take to the bank in Heaven.

Isaiah 55:8-9  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

OUR NATION WAS CALLED TO PRAY on May 17th – Blow the Trumpet in Zion!

O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” II Chronicles 20:12

And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. – II Kings 6:16-17

Where are we in the scheme of things?

2026 in the Gregorian Calendar – or for a more true look at where we are in time, the current year in the Jewish (Hebrew) calendar is 5786. This year began at sunset on October 2, 2025, and will end at sunset on September 11, 2026, when the year 5787 begins, according to Hebcal.com

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

We’re at a key moment of transition as we transition the Hebrew year of 5787! We’re moving out of the old and into the new.

Many people don’t pay attention to the Hebrew calendar. But, I believe the Hebrew calendar is God’s calendar.

Now, I don’t often delve into Hebrew numerics, but I believe it’s important to understand the Hebrew meaning of the numbers ‘5786’.

Interpreting Hebrew numbers isn’t an exact science. However, each Hebrew number has a range of possible meanings that can help us understand the potential prophetic meaning behind this coming Hebrew New Year!

Hebrew Meaning of the Number ‘5786’

Here are some of the meanings behind the Hebrew numbers ‘5786’:

The Hebrew year 5786 (beginning September 2025) is prophetically viewed as a time of “The Great Shift,” focusing on divine connection,, “do it again” miracles, and the bridging of heaven and earth. It is considered a year of transforming past struggles into positive outcomes, where the “Vav” (connector) symbolizes bridging the spiritual and physical realms.

I believe this is the heart of our ministry…  I pray it always remains as such:

Hebrew Year 5786 … A Year of NEW BEGINNINGS

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. ~Jeremiah 33:6

The mountains let us know that they came before us…

And they knew we were coming.

If we don’t praise God, these very rocks will cry out.

We are a full-gospel, Spirit-filled ministry… located somewhere between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean in North Carolina.

We are a broken ministry – Matthew 21:44 “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”

Streetfire Ministries was incorporated in 1987 in Iowa and was transferred to a Michigan based corporation in May of 2009.  In 2017, God had put on our hearts to move to the edge of the prairie and transferred our  corporation to Iowa where the corporation was founded. The vision is to be a part of an international spiritual medical center that is 24/7 – ministering to the hearts, souls, minds and bodies of those in need.

UPDATE: In 2024 the ministry moved to where Mark was learning again to be a tentmaker as well as an encouragement to those around him.

This ministry was birthed in a prayer room in Minneapolis in 1980. It has been a venue that allows me to reach out to those in need of a place to gather and a local ministry within the parameters of a church. It also is a dual-role ministry that affords me the challenge of finding secular work outside of the ministry where I am able to make a difference in the lives of those who are unchurched in the community I am planted in.

We strive to be a ministry that is not motivated or dictated by monetary means. We pray that you will be welcomed and ministered to – regardless of your income, your race or your spiritual condition.

There will be no Christian infomercials or pleas for money – no hidden agendas – Freely we’ve received and freely will we give.

You will never hear us pleading for your donation,
or as the Bible says… “begging bread”.

We are seeking to be a house of prayer for all nations as read recently publically by President Donald J. Trump from the oval office.

We stand upon a cornerstone scripture found in II Chronicles 7:14-16…

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.”
